If you don't know them (quite likely), The Free Design were a late 60s soft-pop vocal group. It's an oversimplification, but sometimes I think of them as The Carpenters with enhanced eccentricity -- and some really hip jazz/funk backing by NYC session cats. They are siblings as well -- two brothers & two sisters. I suppose most people would find them extremely wimpy, but they're very HIP wimps. This site is an excellent place to learn more about The Free Design, including a recent interview with head Designer, Chris Dedrick.
