IRREGULAR ORBIT - ookworld's wobbly satellite
Road Hog

New on ookworld: as promised one year ago, the Road Hog box art now links to a photo of the assembled kit. The box art makes it look so much cooler, of course.

Update - Jan. 11: Aha. We've been linked at BoingBoing. Thanks for the link, Mark! As you can see if you look close, I didn't do an especially fastidious job of assembling the kit. I prefer to think of it as an "archeologically authentic" build. Also, the kit was already partially painted -- the car body shell and Mr. Hog having been painted way back in the day by the original owner (the kit was a yard-sale-find gift from a friend). Though how someone could put that much work in, and then not finish such a simple kit, I can't imagine. Unless they got distracted by girls and/or rock 'n' roll, which would both do the job. The kit was really kind of pissy to assemble, with some badly fitting parts. Without our modern instant glue, it would've been hellish. A real master modeler would have filled and sculpted all of the gaping seams and given it an amazing paint job, but I think even with that level of work, it still wouldn't come anywhere near the terrific box art. Now THAT's art!
