IRREGULAR ORBIT - ookworld's wobbly satellite
Sugar In The Gourd

Sugar In the Gourd is a mighty fine intarweb radio station purveying old-time music. No quantized beats or computerphonic pitch-correction here, thank gourd.

Help! I've been BoingBoinged!

Which is appropriate, as it was via BoingBoing that I first found Ookworld.

Glad to know why my hits are going through the roof. Sorry folks, I can only support 40 concurrent listeners, but if this level of interest continues I will have to add more slots.

thanks for the link,

John

Hang in there. The Boing-ing generally settles down after a day or two (having gone through a couple myself). I guess Mark is still checking in here at the Orbit. Thank YOU for a fine audio feed.

John's station is superb - I've been listening since I heard about it (yes, on Boing Boing).

If you can't get through to Sugar in the Gourd and/or you want to try a much more eclectic - but similarly ad-free - folk stream, Grassy Hill Radio ( http://enigo.com/l?62 or click on my name for the link - I had to use a url shrinker because IO's content filter rejects the station domain name!) supports a few more listeners and you're welcome to stop by. We're also a preset on iTunes under Americana.

Hey Tom, sorry about the hair-trigger filter. It's a tough world out here in the spam wars. Lemme try to sneak it in here.
