Requiem For An Amazon
At Philadelphia's Trocadero Theatre, on Monday night, April 4, Big Mess Orchestra and friends will be presenting Requiem For An Amazon: A Celebration of Jilline Ringle -- benefitting the Jilline Ringle Solo Performance Fund. A singer and actress who graced Big Mess shows with her vibrant presence, Jilline passed away on February 28. You can read about her many activities in the links above. I never met her, but I was at least fortunate enough to catch her performance in last December's Big Mess Christmas Cabaret. I don't think I've ever seen another performer who had a room so totally in the palm of her hand, simply walking out onto the stage. And then she began to sing.
