Fretboard Warrior
Fretboard Warrior -- it sounds like the name of a cheesy hard rock band, but is actually an interactive mini-program designed to drill guitarists on which note goes where on the fretboard. Flashcards done in Flash. It's pretty good, though I'd rather it ran through a full 'deck shuffle' of all of the possible notes -- its simple random setup has too many repeats. And naming the strings by note down at the nut end is too much of a giveaway. The site offers other trainers as well, Bass Fretboard Warrior, Chord Warrior, Sight Warrior, but FW is the only one available for online play. Good mental practice.
