While the guitar spotting subject is fresh, here's a quickie post. This time, it's so-called weird or oddball electric guitars made by companies which somehow never acquired the prestige of the biggies, though the guitars themselves are certainly more interesting than the industry standard (some of these sites are dealer sites, so if you feel yourself getting carried away with desire, caveat emptor, y'know). Weird Vintage Guitars slants toward the 1960s British and European scene, while Fetish Guitars (spotted via Mediaburn) focuses mainly on the Italians. Cheap Guitars Are Fun provides one collector's story. Teisco Twanger's Paradise covers the story of Japan's Teisco Del Ray guitars. My Rare Guitars offers a wealth of photos and price tags. Fatdog's Subway Guitars serves 'em up without the frills, while Ed Roman dishes out some latter-day metal weenie novelties. But hey, DiPinto Guitars come from Philly.
Twangalyzer just became my new favorite word...:)

Tym Guitars is a builder in Australia, also a big fan of Mosrite guitars, with a section of the site devoted to them.
