The Chrysalis Foundation is the home of Cris Forster, builder of unique acoustic musical instruments using alternative tunings, taking its name, no doubt, from his Chrysalis -- a circular string instrument. There are a variety of instruments, from strings to percussion to wind. And then there's the Musical Mathematics section. I can't help but be reminded of 20th century composer, Harry Partch, and his own self-designed instruments.
