The Mystic Knights of the Mau Mau present The Ponderosa Stomp No. 2: a three night festival of "Rock-a-Billy, Blues, Swamp Blues, Swamp Pop and New Orleans R'n'B by the true, unsung heroes of rock'n'roll." April 29/30 and May 1 in New Orleans at the Rock'N'Bowl Mid-City Lanes. Check the schedule! Artists range from Hubert Sumlin to James Blood Ulmer to Billy Lee Riley to the Sun Ra Arkestra to Clarence Frogman Henry to the "Blue Moon Boys Reunion" of Elvis' original band. And that's just a tiny fraction of the action. Amazingly diverse and looks mighty fine.
