How about some Flash-driven web idling for New Year's Eve? Spamwars is a game where you shoot the spam before it gets to your computer, along with taking the occasional potshot at evil Sid The Spammer. It's the old Space Invaders model, turned sideways, with weapon upgrades and cartoon gore. Brainless, but good for a play. Don't get too distracted by the silly spam headers.

Altogether different is the free-floating game, Fly Guy, where you get to indulge your dreams of flying through a sky filled with children's book-ish eccentricities. Relaxing music, nice line-art, light on goals, though you should wander on until you reach the tropical island.
